The Boat

The series Catana 471 is a catamaran of 14.50 m from a French production. It is recognized as one of the most performing catamarans, offering great comfort and a speed that cannot be compared to the traditional boats. It is perfectly equipped for sailing in any sea condition, with particular attention to the safety of guests. Carbon mast and composite structure sails. The catamaran has two 50 Hp engines, a watermaker for the freshwater supply and a power generator, as well as solar panels and a wind turbine for the production of electricity. It is complemented by a 3.90 m dinghy with 15 Hp engine.
Sailing is a great pleasure. In every weather condition it is very dry: you will be sheltered in the cockpit under the big canopy, protected from rain squalls or sea sprays.
It’s easy to sail upwind, two sliding daggerboards are used for a fast and efficient course. All running rigging are controlled near the cockpit, therefore the boat handling is very intuitive and a lot of fun.

Interior

The interior is comfortably suitable for 8 guests, allocated in 4 separate cabins with a big panoramic window on the water level and another small hatch for ventilation. 3 toilets, a separate shower, hot and cold water from the watermaker. The complete kitchen includes a big fridge and freezer, a washing machine, plugs with 220v and 12v are available. Essential medical kits, as well as bed sheets are provided.

There is an additional double bunk, accessible from the corridor; it can be used by children or an extra guest if needed. And specific care is paid to cleaning in general, even the most hidden corners are perfectly sanitized: no unpleasant smell aboard!

Safety Equipment

On-board equipment, safety and technical equipment comply with the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations, an essential condition required for our participation in the ARC, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. The survey took place last November by an independent inspector. In addition to the usual navigational aids, and on-board security features, we have: electronic instruments with navigation data, electronic mapping screens for navigation aid, radar, handheld and fixed VHF radio station, satellite phone, EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicator Radio Beacon) and an AIS (Automatic Identification System). Furthermore, a life raft for 12 people, life buoys as well as life jackets for all people aboard and flares for oceanic navigation. The inventory is long, if interested please ask for a detailed list.

Exterior

The exterior spaces are very comfortable: the deck and the trampoline in the front offer many relaxing spots. The big table fits easily more than 8 people, and thanks to the protection of the rigid bimini, you can spend some unforgettable moments here together.
